adiHAUS
adidas commissioned Plazm to create a comprehensive family of typefaces which would draw on the company's rich heritage and exemplify the brand in the coming years.adihaus is named after adidas' founder, Adi Dassler and inspired by a typeface called DIN 1451, which was developed in the early twentieth century as a German industrial common font. It can still be seen used on street signs in Germany today. Letters were redrawn, hundreds of unique characteristics were added to make adihaus truly unique. The typeface was then expanded to a thirteen variation family including Regular, Italic, Semibold, Semibold Italic, Bold, Bold Italic, Condensed Regular, Condensed Regular Italic, Condensed Bold, Display Regular, Display Bold, adihaus Fractions, and a special variation developed specifically for application to rubber molding, adihaus Technology.
