Campaign for PICA Custom BoxPICA, Portland’s only contemporary arts organization, was slated to move into a new space. The Campaign for PICA carried the dual purpose to both educate the community at the same time as stimulate fund-raising. Donors are targeted at high-end (naming opportunities, etc.), mid-range, and smaller individual contributions. The metaphor of construcion runs throughout the Campaign, always referring to the vision of PICA’s new space. To involve the 50 high-end donors who receive an in-person presentation from PICA, we created a leave-behind box labeled “building.” Inside, prospective donors found individually labeled, pre-cut plexi shapes and wood blocks scavenged from the construction site, a hands-on connection to PICA’s new home.
