Dr. Louisa Moats Award
Branding, award launch
The work of educator Louisa Moats has changed many lives, including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, their parents, and countless teachers. Voyager Sopris Learning approached Plazm to create the Moats Award, from the physical award statuette to the brand’s visual identity. The award design was fabricated using brushed steel with the recipient’s name molded into the form.

Dogwood
Architecture folio
An important global figure—a person who has made positive, meaningful impact on the world—invited Kovak Design Studio to showcase their architecture work. Kovac chose Plazm for the occasion. We created the Dogwood folio, celebrating one of Kovac’s respected architectural works. We filled a handmade, embossed leather satchel with prints by architectural photographer Jeremy Bittermann, housed in an embossed cloth slipcase.




Nike Beautiful
Product line launch kit
Weaving bespoke objects into larger initiatives can make a big impact. The Nike Beautiful campaign launched a new line of women’s products throughout Asia. Plazm designed an inclusive system focusing on awakening body and soul through exercise, sport, and dance. Manifestations included event environment design, product display, and signage. Bespoke promotional materials ranged from a case-bound book to lavender eye pillows in screen-printed tins.

Sunrose
Showroom book
The Sunrose development in Southeast Portland sought Plazm’s help from tip to toe. We delved deep on the property’s brand, designing a logo, visual identity, website, and marketing collateral. A bespoke showroom book allowed for adjustable portfolio items, presented in a finished wooden box.

Nike Asia basketball kit
Product line launch
Plazm enjoys our frequent collaborations with Nike, developing bespoke materials in short runs for key influencers. Here we set a custom basketball, printed with Rostar illustrations, in a cloth-wrapped, embossed box. Behind the ball, we designed a compartment containing a branded wristband, digital data, and exclusive music release.

Campaign for PICA
Capital campaign
Now residing in the permanent collection at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, our Campaign for PICA materials had humble beginnings. We salvaged wood from the construction site of the arts organization’s new building, and used it to create little “rooms”—bespoke boxes for high-level donors. Limited-run labels, brochures, and other materials were included in the larger campaign, also executed by Plazm.

Matador Award
Award statuette
Our regular client, Red Bull Theatre in New York, launched a new annual event the Running of the Red Bulls featuring an awards ceremony. We created the “shofar” sculpture as their award statuette. Actor Sir Patrick Stewart won the award for Extraordinary Achievement in Classical Theater in 2012.

Nike needed a media kit that would make a strong impression. Plazm designed a singular book with stab-binding and placed it in a crushed velvet bag for hands-on, tactile sensation.
