Rebranding Campaign

Will Vinton’s studio—award-winning creators of Claymation and the California Raisins—was beloved but struggling financially. Phil Knight acquired the animation company and called for a thorough rebranding campaign, from new identity to internal buy-in.

Plazm took on the challenge. Playfully named after the first dog in space, the new brand focused on forward motion and innovation. Now the studio is known as LAIKA, award-winning creators of Coraline, ParaNorman, and The Boxtrolls.
